Outdoor Activities are very popular locally. North Devon is famous for its surf beaches and none more so than Croyde and Woolacombe.

It is possible to do weekend or week long surf schools at

                                             Coastal Path is a very popular and a walk out to 

                                             Baggy Point near Croyde is a real must. It is quite

                                             common to see seals near to the cliffs. It is also a

                                             popular location for Sea Cliff Climbing and more

                                             information on this can be found at On Woolacombe beach it is possible

to go horse riding and this can be arranged with Woolacombe

Riding Stables at 


Both wind and kite surfing are popular at Saunton sands 

which is also home to a Championship quality links golf

                            course .  Other

                                     Over 30 miles of the old North Devon railway line has been

                            converted into a cycle path and bikes can be rented at                    which is based at Fremington Quay.
